The forum was organized by ICISE Center in collaboration with the Asia Foundation in Quy Nhon City on March 25-26. This is an important event in the series of activities of the 6th National Innovative Startup Forum - Binh Dinh 2025.

In his opening speech, Dr. Tran Thanh Son - Deputy Director of ICISE Center, said that although it is a small project in cooperation with the Asia Foundation, the program has a long-term vision. It aims to promote green business initiatives, encourage businesses and the startup community to apply advanced technology in production to minimize negative impacts on the environment, create organic products, clean products, ensure the health of consumers, and contribute to the sustainable development of the locality.
“Sustainable development cannot be separated from science and innovation,” Dr. Son affirmed, adding that this is the reason why ICISE not only focuses on organizing domestic and international scientific conferences and seminars to carry out its mission of connecting science.
It also organizes programs related to environmental protection education, climate change response, promoting and encouraging green and sustainable business development - areas that are important to the development of Binh Dinh in particular and Vietnam in general.
The Deputy Director of ICISE also believes that cooperation between science and business is a key factor in creating sustainable development models. Therefore, ICISE is committed to continuing to be a bridge between scientists and businesses, promoting the application of research results into sustainable production and business practices.
“The forum is a clear demonstration of the strong transformation of the startup business community in Binh Dinh in applying green business models. We believe that, with the joint efforts of businesses, scientists and local authorities, we can build an economy that not only develops strongly but also ensures balance with the environment and society,” shared Dr. Tran Thanh Son.

In the past, the Asia Foundation has accompanied ICISE in supporting green startups. We hope that in the future, we will continue to contribute to help green startups achieve their goals and the project results will be further expanded and spread.
At the Sustainable Business Connection Forum, there was an in-depth discussion on policies to support sustainable businesses, market opportunities and business model transformation with speakers.
Ms. Jessica Nga Tran - Country Managing Director, Clime Capital Investment Fund in Vietnam, shared about the programs to support sustainable business development. Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Dung - President of SDP Consulting and Investment Company - representative of the Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association in the South, shared about the potential of the green business market. Ms. Nguyen Nhu Quynh - Program Officer for Inclusive Development, United Nations Development Program in Vietnam (UNDP), shared about transforming business models towards sustainable development.

One of the important highlights of the forum is the fundraising session of two typical startups selected after many training courses from the Green Business Development Project in Vietnam. In addition, there are activities to connect and exchange with businesses, partners, consultants and potential investors.
The forum is a good opportunity for local startups to update information and policies on sustainable business development and access support from experts and investment funds. Thereby demonstrating the commitment of Binh Dinh province as well as Vietnam in developing a green, sustainable economy associated with science, technology and environmental protection.
