On the morning of July 5, the Investigation Police Agency of Khanh Vinh District Police announced that it had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and issued a temporary detention order against Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1994, residing in Khanh Vinh town) and Nguyen Thi Nhu Y (born in 2001, residing in Dien Lac commune, Dien Khanh district) to continue investigating and handling the act of illegal possession of drugs.

Previously, the anti-drug crime force of Khanh Vinh District Police inspected a motel in Khanh Vinh town and caught Nguyen Van Tuan and Nguyen Thi Nhu Y red-handed showing signs of being high on drugs in the room. Here, the functional force seized more than 4.4 grams of crystal meth and the tools the subjects used to "smash" the drug.
