Dak Lak: free examination and surgery for children with musculoskeletal defects

On the morning of April 16, at the Krong Bong District Medical Center, Dak Lak province, a free screening program for children with motor disabilities took place. The activity was coordinated by the Dak Lak Provincial Children's Fund and the Children Action organization and took place over two days, April 16 - April 17, 2024.

Interplast: free maxillofacial surgery for 80 disadvantaged children
Interplast Organization (Germany) provides free screening and surgery for more than 100 children with congenital disabilities.

A team of doctors from Children Action (Switzerland) provides free medical examinations to children under 16 years old with movement disabilities due to bone and joint defects (clubfoot, bow legs, hip dislocation, scoliosis, club hands...) and burn scars.

The children were directly examined and screened by a team of doctors at Krong Bong District Medical Center (April 16) and Thien Hanh General Hospital (April 17). After screening, children who are indicated for surgery will receive free orthopedic surgery at specialized hospitals.

Children Action is a non-governmental organization headquartered in Switzerland, operating mainly in two areas: health and education. In Vietnam, Children Action is implementing programs, specifically: supporting surgery to correct muscle, bone, joint deformities, and burn scars; supporting heart surgery costs; supporting notebooks and bicycles; supporting nutritious meals for poor and orphaned students; supporting school construction costs...
