Among them, the most special is the Central Highlands ecological region, a large center of biodiversity and contains many endemic species!
The Central Highlands has many ecosystems such as: evergreen and semi-evergreen broadleaf forests, grasslands, wetlands, dipterocarp forests and coniferous forests...
Of these, dipterocarp forests and coniferous forests are the only types that appear on a large scale in the Central Highlands.
Among the 5 National Parks here, Yok Don (in Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces) is the place with the largest dry dipterocarp forest habitat.
There are many rich and diverse species of flora and fauna here, adapted to the two-season rainy and sunny climate.
Around March to October, the rainy season here makes the trees green, blossom and bear fruit, many green grasslands appear, many ponds are flooded, aquatic species from the Serepok River also compete to lay eggs and raise their young.
This is the ideal time for many birds and animals to come and hunt. On small ponds scattered throughout the forest, it is easy to see birds such as storks, herons, kingfishers, and eagles gathering around to hunt for fish.
Some carnivorous birds also come here to hunt small birds, fish-eating animals, and creatures that come here to drink water.
