On February 22, the Provincial Police Youth Union, Nghe An Provincial Police Hospital in collaboration with Nghe An General Hospital organized a program to examine, provide health consultation and provide free medicine for more than 300 ethnic minorities, poor households, and policy families in Thong Thu border commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province.
The program is part of a series of practical activities to celebrate Youth Month 2025 and the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025).

Participating in this medical examination and treatment were more than 30 medical staff and doctors from Nghe An Provincial Friendship General Hospital, along with professional soldiers, medical staff and doctors from the Provincial Police Hospital. Along with that, the delegation also brought many machines such as portable ultrasound machines, electrocardiogram machines, etc., along with medical supplies and many types of medicine to examine and provide free medicine to the people.

At Thong Thu Commune Health Station, more than 300 people were examined and given health advice by doctors and nurses for cardiovascular diseases, bone and joint diseases, high blood pressure... and other common diseases. Through the visits and examinations, people were consulted by doctors and nurses on health care, hygienic living conditions, and disease prevention...
Mr. Luong Van Huan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thong Thu Commune, said that nearly 100% of the population in Thong Thu border commune are ethnic minorities. Due to the terrain and difficult transportation, initial health care for ethnic minorities is still limited. Therefore, doctors and nurses who come to the commune to examine and provide free medicine play an important role in providing initial health care for ethnic minorities in the border area.

Along with the activities of medical examination, treatment and free medicine provision, the Provincial Police Youth Union, the Provincial Police Hospital in collaboration with Nghe An Provincial General Hospital presented 10 gifts to families in especially difficult circumstances (each gift worth 500,000 VND).
