(NADS) - On December 7, in Dak Lak, the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Dak Lak province for the 2024-2029 term took place solemnly.
Attending the Congress were: writer Nie Thanh Mai, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities, President of the Dak Lak Association of Literature and Arts.
Up to now, the Dak Lak Province Association of Photographic Artists has 20 members, an increase of 4 members compared to the number of members at the end of the previous term. The Executive Committee of the Association has 3 members. During the term, 2 members were awarded the title of Outstanding Photographic Artist (EVAPA/G); 1 member was awarded the title of Outstanding Photographic Artist (ESVAPA); 5 members were awarded the Commemorative Medal for the development of Vietnamese photography.
During the term, the Executive Committee of the Association proactively developed an action plan, closely coordinated with the Office of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to effectively implement the resolutions, programs and directions of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, coordinated with the Dak Lak Association of Literature and Arts and a number of local units to organize many professional activities that brought practical results:
+ Send members to participate in creative camps, training courses, and seminars organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and central departments and branches: Creative Camp at Vung Tau Creative House organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Center for Supporting Creative Arts in Vung Tau (November 2019); Photography Training Camp for the North Central and South Central Highlands regions organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Da Lat, Lam Dong province (2021); Workshop and Training on National Photo Appraisal in 2022 in Ca Mau; EVN Creative Camp in the Central Highlands in August 2022; Cam Ranh Creative Camp in September 2023); Conference of Southern Region Branch Heads and Seminar on Development Orientation of Vietnamese Photography organized in Dak Lak in March 2024; Photo Creative Exchange Camp in Thua Thien - Hue organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition in May 2024; Creative Camp in Da Nang organized by Vietnam Association of Fine Arts in July 2024…
+ Coordinate with the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts and Musicians, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association successfully organized the 2021 South Central - Central Highlands Regional ANT Festival in Dak Lak; sent members to participate in the 2020-2024 regional ANT Festival in localities in the region such as Da Nang, Kon Tum, Quang Ngai.
During the last term, the Association members won the following awards: 02 works won National Awards; 16 works won International Awards; 20 works won National Exhibitions; 02 works won Regional Awards; 15 works won Ministry and Sector Awards; 37 works won Regional Exhibitions; 43 works won Provincial Awards. In addition, there were more than 50 awards organized by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee and units and districts under Dak Lak province.
The Congress elected a new Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term, including 3 artists: Artist Le Quang Khai as Branch Chairman, 02 Vice Branch Chairmen: Artist Ton That Tuan Ninh and Artist Vu Duy Thuong.
