The food festival serving the Vietnamese family day with the theme "Countryside in the heart of the city" called "Countryside" was held from June 27 to July 2 at the old Tax Trade Center (corner of Le Loi - Nguyen Hue, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The program is part of the activities to celebrate the 326th anniversary of the founding of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City (1698 - 2024) and the 48th anniversary of Gia Dinh City being officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh, events to honor the role of family in social life, the 2nd city-level new rural culture and sports festival.

The food festival recreates the image of the homeland in the city center for everyone to gather around the dinner table and enjoy unique dishes. Familiar images such as bamboo gates, coconut leaf gates, traditional cake stalls... or handicraft villages of weaving, figurines, calligraphy... all appear at Net Que. The food festival has about 80 stalls with traditional cakes such as palm cakes, pig skin cakes, smart cakes, pancakes... interspersed with other dishes such as noodles, rice noodles...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thi (35 years old) brought My Tho noodle soup to introduce to diners at Net Que. The bowl of noodle soup she cooked has broth simmered from dried shrimp, dried squid, pickled radish... "I want diners to eat delicious food and enjoy a clean space when coming to my stall," Ms. Thi said.

Ms. Ly Thi Ngoc Dung (43 years old) makes pineapple cakes - a traditional Khmer dish to introduce to diners. Since she was a child, she followed her mother to sell and later her mother passed on the secret. "I still want to preserve traditional cakes and want to bring rustic dishes to everyone," Ms. Dung said. Ms. Phuong Nhu (21 years old, in District 8) came to the food festival because she wanted to enjoy many delicious dishes, regional specialties. "Today I tried sticky rice and apple snails. I will return to the stall in the coming days to enjoy other dishes," Ms. Nhu said.
