Live healthy in your own way
At the age of 24, Tay ethnic girl Be Thi Bang (Cao Bang) had just graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Thai Nguyen University, eager to establish herself, start a career, help her family and contribute to society when disaster suddenly struck. One day on the way to work, Bang's motorbike collided with a container truck, causing her to fall off and faint. Four days later, Bang woke up with her right leg amputated to the groin. She was shocked, devastated, depressed, self-conscious, and did not dare to face the truth. But then all the pain passed. She encouraged herself that tomorrow would always be another day. Having gone through so much pain, so many falls with wounds that had not fully healed... but that made Bang even more determined to stand on one leg.
After days of training, Be Thi Bang confidently can stand for 4-5 hours without crutches. Many people have nicknamed Bang "The woman who can stand on one leg the longest in Vietnam". She farms, cooks, holds her grandchild, swims, practices martial arts, cycles or rides a horse... with only one leg. She even wears high heels and dances like a professional dancer with 10-12cm high heels. Bang said that when she was able to stand firmly, she watched dancing videos online and learned from them.
Some time later, Bang started looking for a job at a clinic. With her diligence, expertise, and determination to overcome her fate, she was admired by her colleagues. When she learned about the "Crescent Moon Beauty" contest, she bravely registered to compete. Intelligent, beautiful, determined, and talented in dancing despite having only one leg, Be Thi Bang excellently won the Miss crown in 2019. And now, she has a career as a doctor running a dental clinic and a happy family with her husband, a German professor.
