According to a clip recorded by a roadside camera, bus route 57 of Phuong Trang Company with license plate number 50H-40129 stopped at the bus stop.
At this time, a female student carrying a backpack was getting off the bus. The bus suddenly closed the door, causing the female student's backpack to get stuck inside the bus. The bus driver started moving, causing the female student to fall and almost get caught under the bus wheels.
Realizing the incident, the driver quickly stepped on the brakes and stopped the bus. The bus door was then opened, the bus staff picked up the backpack and gave it to the female student, then the bus left. The incident lasted for 8 seconds.
Regarding the incident, the Public Transport Management Center (under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport) noted that on March 7, driver DTT drove bus number 57 (Phuoc Binh Market - Hiep Binh High School) from Hiep Binh High School to Phuoc Long market.
While dropping off passengers at the Ho Chi Minh City College of Technology bus station on Kha Van Can Street, Linh Dong Ward (Thu Duc City), driver T. did not pay attention before closing the door and driving the bus, causing the passenger's backpack to get stuck in the bus and fall off. Fortunately, the driver discovered it immediately and stopped the bus.
The center requested Phuong Trang FutaBuslines Joint Stock Company - the unit in charge of the route - to suspend driver T. from work from 8:00 a.m. on March 22 for handling. At the same time, report the handling results to the center before 10:00 a.m. on March 24.
