Cat Dua Island is located in the Cat Ba National Park (Hai Phong). To increase the attractiveness of tourists, since 1993, local forest rangers have released more monkeys on the island. These monkeys come from the Wildlife Rescue Center in Hanoi. The monkeys on Cat Dua Island are mostly long-tailed monkeys, scientifically named Macaca Facicularis. The monkeys are quite friendly with tourists. This is also one of the reasons attracting tourists to visit the island. Since 1993, the number of monkeys has increased significantly due to natural reproduction. The monkeys on the island have also become accustomed to the presence of tourists, so they are quite friendly.

The photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam”, organized by the Department of External Information, Ministry of Information and Communications on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn, is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over.
