In addition, the high-speed ferry route from Rach Gia City to Phu Quoc City and vice versa has also been expanded. The last trip of the day departs at 2:45 p.m. every day.
With the ferry route from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc departing at 3:30 a.m. and arriving at Da Chong port (Bai Thom commune) at 6:30 a.m., tourists will have more options for their trip.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh, a tourist from Can Tho City, said: "We took the night ferry to Phu Quoc just as it was dawn. At that time, we will enjoy the sparkling sunrise scene on the pearl island, and have more time to visit here."
As Thanh Nien reported, the People's Committee of Kien Giang province has a pilot policy allowing shipping and ferry companies to operate fixed routes from the shore to the island and vice versa in Kien Giang waters.
Accordingly, the time frame applies to ships and ferries running at night from 4:00 to 6:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00. The pilot implementation period is until December 31, 2025 for all ships and ferries to the island.
With the addition of ferries running at night, Phu Quoc can be reached with more flexible schedules, including by sea and air, as Phu Quoc International Airport also welcomes flights at night.
