Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, representative of the Foreign Affairs and Overseas Vietnamese Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, received support from the Vietnam - Korea Medical Joint Venture Company (Vikomed) in the amount of 31.2 million VND; Gia Dinh University donated 700 school uniforms and 10,000 notebooks (worth 180 million VND); the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam donated 19.35 million VND; Nguyen Huy Trading and Service Company Limited donated 100 million VND; Doosan Enerbility Vietnam Company (Doosan Vina) donated 500 million VND.
Taking a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to directly present support through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Nguyen Vu Luat, Director of the Graduate Training Institute (Gia Dinh University) said that, in the face of the damage caused by storm No. 3, Gia Dinh University has organized a campaign and collected donations from staff, lecturers and students in the school, with the spirit of "little but much" joining hands to support people, especially students in flood-hit areas in the Northern provinces to soon overcome difficulties.
"The new school year has begun, and cold air is also spreading to the North. All donated goods will be delivered directly to Sapa town, Lao Cai province, to help flood-affected students have uniforms, warm clothes, and books to return to school in time," Mr. Luat shared.
Presenting the donation to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Mr. Kim Hyo Tae, General Director of Doosan Vina, said that in nearly two decades of operating in Vietnam, Doosan Vina has always focused on implementing social responsibility through a series of its own charity programs as well as in association with Chung Ang University (Korea) focusing on improving healthcare, education, environment and people's lives with a total value of tens of billions of VND. Charity programs conducted by Doosan Vina every year include health check-ups and free medicine for people, donating medical equipment to hospitals, awarding scholarships to university students, supporting natural disaster and epidemic recovery, etc.
“We hope that this support will help people in the northern provinces overcome immediate difficulties, quickly stabilize and return to normal life,” said Mr. Kim Hyo Tae.
Expressing his sincere gratitude to the noble acts of domestic and foreign agencies, units and enterprises, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, representative of the leaders of the Foreign Affairs and Overseas Vietnamese Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, affirmed that the joint support of organizations and individuals is a great source of encouragement to help people in the Northern provinces overcome difficulties, overcome damage after the storm, and quickly rebuild their lives; at the same time, he committed that the donated money will be used by the Central Relief Mobilization Committee for the right purposes, requirements and publicly in accordance with the provisions of law.
On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Deputy Chief of Office of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received support from the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) and its members in the amount of VND 120 million; AASC Auditing Company Limited donated VND 100 million; Vietnam Auditing and Valuation Company Limited (AVA) donated VND 70 million; Binh An Auditing and Consulting Company Limited donated VND 50 million.
