Completed construction and repair of more than 1,900 temporary and dilapidated houses

Lang Son province has completed the construction and repair of 1,902/6,877 temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

According to Resolution No. 188-NQ/TU, dated October 25, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee on implementing the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for households with revolutionary contributions, policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and people affected by natural disasters and climate change in the province, the goal is to eliminate 2,472 temporary and dilapidated houses.

To date, the province has completed the construction of 928 new houses and the repair of 818 houses, reaching 70.6% of the set plan. Lang Son strives to complete the target set by Resolution No. 188 before April 30, 2025.

According to Decision No. 270/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2025 of the People's Committee of Lang Son province on approving the results of synthesizing the need to eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses for meritorious people, poor households, near-poor households, households affected by natural disasters, climate change and other subjects needing support to improve housing, in the province there are 3,079 houses that need to be newly built and 1,326 houses that need to be repaired.

To date, the province has started construction and repair of 357/4,405 houses. Of these, 156 houses have been completed.

Currently, all levels, sectors and localities in the province are actively mobilizing resources to implement this program. To date, the province has received more than 203.5 billion VND in support (cash and in-kind) for the program. The total amount of money and in-kind spent on the program is worth more than 184.4 billion VND.

Thus, up to now, the whole Lang Son province has completed the construction and repair of 1,902/6,877 temporary and dilapidated houses according to Resolution No. 188 of the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee and Decision No. 270 of the People's Committee of Lang Son province.
