At the same time, this is also an opportunity to evaluate the level, capacity of exploitation, use, quality of preservation, maintenance, repair, synchronization, storage of motorbike equipment, regularity of motorbike technical work of the units; evaluate the skill level of the driving team, improve and positively change the awareness of compliance with road traffic laws of vehicle operators when participating in traffic.

The results of the competition also serve as a basis for unification in the organization of technical work on vehicles and motorcycles, meeting the requirements of training tasks, combat readiness, contributing to building a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary model".

The 2023 Good Vehicle, Good Driver Competition of the Department of Motor Vehicles took place from May 30 to June 15, with 8 participating units, including warehouses, workshops, factories, and groups under the Department of Motor Vehicles. The units went through 2 contents with 5 subjects, including: Good Vehicle Competition; Technical Area Competition, Technical Day Activities; Technical Innovation Topic and Initiative Competition; Technical Management Awareness Competition and the 50 Movement, proposing solutions to improve the quality of technical work on motorbikes, ensuring traffic safety in the unit, and Good Driver Competition.

As the unit chosen to organize the opening ceremony of the contest, according to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Hung, Head of Warehouse J102, Department of Vehicles and Motorcycles, the unit has done a good job of preparing for the contest many days in advance. At the same time, selecting typical vehicles and individuals to participate, determined to achieve high results in the contest.

As for Major Luu Van Tuan, Driver of Warehouse J102, when he was selected to directly participate in the contest, he spent a lot of time working with technical staff to maintain and clean the vehicle, preparing well before coming to the contest. He shared: “This is an opportunity for me to improve my repair and maintenance skills during the use of the vehicle; update and learn new knowledge to master the vehicle equipment, “keep it well, use it for a long time”.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Contest Jury organized the marking of 4 subjects at Warehouse J102 and will continue to mark the remaining 7 units. The driving test will be held centrally at Warehouse J106.

In order for the contest to achieve its goals and requirements, in his opening speech, Major General Phung Ngoc Son, Chief of Staff, Deputy Director of the General Department of Engineering, requested the Organizing Committee to prepare well, organize the contest strictly, seriously, and according to plan; the participating units must have the right and sufficient members; the Jury must evaluate the results accurately, objectively, and substantially; the contestants must perform the content correctly and fully according to regulations, make efforts and be determined to achieve the highest results, ensuring efficiency, savings, and absolute safety for people and technical equipment.

Major General Phung Ngoc Son also requested that after the competition, units need to continue to do a good job in vehicle engineering, ensuring adequate, synchronous, timely and good quality vehicle equipment for training tasks, combat readiness and mobility to perform other tasks; strictly maintain the order, preservation, maintenance, repair and storage of vehicle equipment according to hierarchy, ensure good technical coefficients, continue to carry out the 50 Campaign well.
