The establishment of the Logistics and Seaport Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province marks the first time the province has had a specialized industry association dedicated to the logistics sector - an important "lifeline" of the locality and the Southeast region. This is not only an important milestone affirming the potential and position of the province in the two fields of logistics and port exploitation, but also demonstrating the pioneering role and strong determination of the province in the strategy of developing an integrated seaport and logistics model following the globalization trend.
After Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Ba Ria - Vung Tau is the 5th locality to have its own association on logistics.

Vietnam is in the process of developing mechanisms and policies for the carbon credit market. HPLA's interest and investment in this field is a vivid example of moving towards green logistics, encouraging many logistics enterprises to be interested and participate in similar activities.
This activity also contributes to creating additional financial resources for forest protection and development, contributing to increasing income and improving livelihoods for people in a locality with many difficulties.
According to the Vietnam Logistics Services Association (VLA), the growth rate of the logistics industry in Vietnam in recent years has reached about 14 - 16%, with a scale of about 40 - 42 billion USD/year. According to the World Bank, Vietnam currently ranks 43rd out of 155 countries in terms of logistics efficiency and is among the top 5 countries in ASEAN (after Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the same rank as the Philippines). With an annual growth rate of 14-16%, this is one of the fastest and most stable growing service industries in Vietnam in recent times. |
