Systems capable of countering the SCALP stealth cruise missile were named by Russian military expert Alexei Sukonkin in an interview with News.ru .
“I warn that SCALP can be shot down by S-300, S-400, S-350, Pantsir air defense systems. And our air force: Su-35, Su-30, Su-27, MiG-31 fighters..." - said Mr. Alexei Sukonkin.
He noted that the SCALP missile is similar to the British Storm Shadow missile delivered to Kiev. According to him, in fact, the missiles differ only in name, and Paris' decision to supply them means that the number of cruise missiles in the Ukrainian Armed Forces will increase.
Earlier, Reuters quoted a military source from a European country as saying that the first French SCALP missiles had arrived in Ukraine. This type of missile was developed by Matra and British Aerospace companies.
