On the evening of August 28, in Hanoi, Vietnam Television held a press conference to inform about the program "New Generation Students 2024".
At the press conference, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Thanh Hai emphasized that the qualities of the new generation of students do not stop at the lecture hall but also truly live and experience passionate youth.
"Here, you will meet new people and new situations, thereby promoting your creativity to carry out projects to help the community and spread youthful enthusiasm in society. When participating in the program, the teams should always be themselves and show their best in this meaningful game" - VTV Deputy General Director expressed.
"New Generation Students" 2024 "heated up" right from the opening round when there were more than 200 registrations from 50 universities across the country. With the desire to make the version more attractive, challenging and dramatic, the program only selected the 8 strongest teams to enter this playground.
Instead of the Organizing Committee making a trip to the schools to select the team, this year the decision was given to the universities. Each school will proactively choose the best project and team.
8 teams are divided into 4 groups, competing to select 4 teams to continue with the following competitions: Project presentation, project presentation, debate, and persuasion of partners.
8 projects from 8 universities and academies entered the competition related to the fields of culture, history, sustainable development and shared the desire to contribute to the community and the country.
Some notable examples include the project "Food wrap extracted from aloe vera" (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology); the project "Gieo" (Diplomatic Academy) to help the overseas Vietnamese community learn about Vietnamese culture; the project "Tell Me" (Hanoi Medical University) to support mental health care for relatives of inpatients at hospitals in Hanoi...
This year's program also has the special support of famous and influential people in the community such as MC Khanh Vy, Double 2T, teacher Beo - Tran Tuan Dat, Helly Tong to help the teams realize the project.
The judges of this year's program are Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Ms. Ha Thu Thanh - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Institute of Board Members; journalist Ta Bich Loan - Head of Entertainment Program Production, Vietnam Television; Dr. Nguyen Thu Huong - Chairwoman of the International Women's Leadership Network WLIN & Women's Entrepreneurship Network WSUN; MC Thanh Mai and the last judge is "gen Z" talent Tran Tuan Minh - founder and Chairman of the startup organization UpYouth.
The Organizing Committee will award 1 first prize, 2 equal prizes, and 1 prize for the most popular team. The prize for the first prize team is worth 100 million VND along with the opportunity to invest in implementing the project from the accompanying units, a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, and a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training.
"New Generation Students" will air on VTV3 at 8:00 p.m. every Sunday, with the first episode released on September 1, 2024.
