Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau: many key officials retire before age

Kinhtedothi - In the context of streamlining the apparatus from the central to local levels, in Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, many veteran leaders have voluntarily retired early, thereby contributing to restructuring the organization and improving the efficiency of the local political system.


In Binh Duong, 6 provincial and district leaders have decided to voluntarily retire early. Among them, Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - is a typical face with more than 40 years of work experience. He has played a key role in orienting the province's economic, urban and digital transformation development, contributing to making Binh Duong one of the leading smart cities according to ICF's assessment.

Besides Mr. Mai Hung Dung, other leaders such as Mr. Ho Quang Diep - Secretary of Di An City Party Committee; Mr. Thai Thanh Binh - Secretary of Bac Tan Uyen District; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tri - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee - Chairman of Tan Uyen City People's Council; Mr. Huynh Cong Du - Standing Deputy Secretary of Bau Bang District Party Committee and Ms. Tran Cam Hong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Duong Provincial Agencies have also decided to retire early. All have the same goal: to create favorable conditions for the transfer of tasks, helping the government apparatus operate smoothly and without interruption. This decision not only demonstrates a high sense of responsibility but also opens up opportunities for the next generation of cadres to test themselves, accumulate experience and be better prepared for the challenges ahead.

On February 10, at the Conference on personnel work, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged the contributions of 6 provincial and district leaders who retired early and have made many outstanding contributions, representing the overall development of the province over the past many years.

Similarly, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee received early resignation applications from 5 members, including: Mr. Mai Ngoc Thuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Luu Tai Doan - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Mr. Huynh Van Danh - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Xinh - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Mr. Tran Dinh Khoa - Secretary of the Vung Tau City Party Committee.

On February 10, at the Conference announcing the decision to end the activities of the Party Delegation and the Party Executive Committee at the provincial level, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh emphasized that the early retirement of 5 key cadres reflected the sense of responsibility, exemplary and pioneering spirit of the leaders. Thereby, creating conditions for the locality to proactively arrange and restructure the organization to streamline the apparatus, avoid overlapping tasks and improve work efficiency.

In addition to restructuring the Party Committee and public service units, Ba Ria - Vung Tau also introduced support policies for those subject to downsizing. Specifically, in addition to the benefits according to Decree 178, leaders who retire before the age will receive an additional 50% of the total amount as prescribed. This policy aims to ensure the rights of cadres after retirement and create motivation for the process of transferring responsibilities to take place smoothly and effectively.

The voluntary early retirement of leaders in both Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau is not simply a farewell for the veterans but also a positive and visionary transition. These decisions demonstrate careful preparation to pave the way for the next generation to be challenged and developed, contributing to the creation of a youthful, dynamic and modern political system.
