Kinhtedothi – In order to create a breakthrough in the development of the "smokeless industry", in recent times, localities in Hoa Binh province have focused on investing in infrastructure, diversifying tourism products, and promoting to tourists.

Since 2023, Hop Phong commune (Cao Phong district) has implemented the community-ecotourism model of Mung hamlet. Mung hamlet has over 98% of Muong ethnic people. To develop sustainable tourism, authorities at all levels have built a tourism cooperative in the hamlet, organized training courses on tourism skills for people to develop Mung hamlet into a community tourism destination.

Coming to Mung hamlet, in addition to taking photos at the flower hill, visitors can visit the orange garden - a specialty of Cao Phong, directly pick and enjoy oranges right in the garden. On sunny days, visitors can hunt clouds and watch the sunset; experience staying in a stilt house, enjoy the unique cuisine of the Muong people such as hill chicken, local pig, bitter bamboo shoots, bamboo rice... In the evening, at the homestays, there is a campfire and art performances by the art troupe of the Muong people here.

In addition, many other services have been opened to meet the needs of exploration and experience of tourists in Mung hamlet such as: Traditional costume rental, souvenir stalls, local products... Thanks to these activities, the lives of the people are not only improved, but also create opportunities for rich cultural exchange, opening up a direction for sustainable and long-term livelihood development for the community.

Lac Thuy district is also planned as one of the key tourism development areas of the province, with beautiful natural landscapes, many scenic spots, and eco-tourism spots that are potential and unique advantages for developing tourism and services.

The district has 6 national-ranked relics and 11 provincial-ranked relics. These include the Tien Pagoda tourist complex, the Tien Cave archaeological site, the revolutionary historical site of the Money Printing Factory in Chi Ne plantation (Phu Nghia commune); Dong Thot cave archaeological site (Ba Hang Doi town); Niem mountain cave complex (Phu Thanh commune); Luon cave (in Chi Ne town, Yen Bong commune, Dong Tam commune); Thuy Tien cave in Yen Bong commune; Bo hill eco-tourism area in Dong Tam commune... Revolutionary historical relics: Hoang Dong Party Cell (Khoan Du commune), Pathet Lao Radio Station (An Binh commune)... The district has many important traffic routes passing through such as: Ho Chi Minh road, national highway system, provincial roads connecting, adjacent to key tourist areas such as Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Hanoi, which is a great opportunity for the district to attract investment in tourism development.

According to the leaders of Lac Thuy district, identifying tourism development as a key economic sector, in recent years, the district has mobilized all resources to exploit potentials and strengths, and promote attracting investors in the tourism sector. The district Party Committee and government have taken specific actions to support investors in removing difficulties in investment procedures and site clearance for projects. The district is having many investment projects in the tourism and service sectors. In addition, the district is completing investment procedures for a number of large projects such as: ecological housing projects, high-end resorts and entertainment.

In Da Bac district, investment in traffic infrastructure is being actively implemented. To create a solid foundation for tourism development, the district continues to implement many technical infrastructure investment projects. In particular, the district focuses on renovating and upgrading important traffic routes such as: Enh (Tan Minh) - Yen Hoa route, Cao Son - Tien Phong route, Cao Son - Trung Thanh route. In particular, the district is actively requesting investors to speed up the construction progress of the lakeside road from Vay Nua - Tien Phong, creating favorable conditions for traffic, promoting socio-economic development in the lake area, especially tourism.

After 8 years of operation, Da Bac Community Tourism Joint Stock Company (Da Bac CBT) has helped the community tourism model in Da Bac district make steady progress. The Community Tourism Coordination Board was established, helping people proactively manage and operate services and share benefits. Tourism services are increasingly diverse and of improved quality, helping to attract and retain domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, tourism units also focus on connecting the market, sending regular visitors, bringing stable income to the people.

In order to develop tourism sustainably, in the coming time, localities in the province will focus on building unique tourism products, combining tourism and cultural preservation to create a unique impression in the hearts of tourists.
