NDO - On the afternoon of November 21, in Phnom Penh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Khuon Sudary presided over the inauguration ceremony and presented the Kingdom of Cambodia National Assembly Administrative Building - a gift from the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the Party, State and people of Cambodia.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his honor to join National Assembly Chairman Khuon Sudary in inaugurating the Administrative Building of the Cambodian National Assembly.
This is a symbolic project of the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia, presented by the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the State and people of Cambodia during the State visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in July 2017 and started construction in December 2021.

"The inauguration of the project is a shared joy for the two National Assemblies and people of the two countries" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed.
Vietnam and Cambodia are two close neighboring countries with a long-standing traditional relationship, which has been cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries and has become a priceless common asset of the two nations. The relationship between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Cambodian National Assembly has developed well on both bilateral and multilateral levels, especially after the two National Assemblies signed and implemented the Cooperation Agreement in 2022, making a positive contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
The Party, State, National Assembly and people of Vietnam hope that the new administrative building of the Cambodian National Assembly will become a symbol of the lasting solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. On this occasion, on behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his gratitude to the Cambodian National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Khuon Sudary, and the agencies and organizations of the two countries for their close and effective coordination in the process of designing, constructing and completing the building to meet the requirements of technical and architectural standards; the construction units, engineers and construction workers have contributed their efforts, enthusiasm and intelligence, working day and night regardless of difficulties to inaugurate and soon put the building into use.
“The inauguration, early operation and effective use of the building will support the Cambodian National Assembly to better perform its functions and tasks of representing the will and aspirations of the people, contributing to the construction of an increasingly prosperous and prosperous Cambodia. I wish the relationship between the two countries and the two National Assemblies to be continuously consolidated and developed comprehensively, sustainably and long-term,” emphasized National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, President of the Cambodian National Assembly Khuon Sudary expressed his deepest gratitude to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for their support and aid for the construction of the Cambodian National Assembly Administrative Building.
“The magnificent and beautiful building was inaugurated and officially put into use. This is a symbol of the long-standing friendship, solidarity, and sustainability between Cambodia and Vietnam, and is also a practical demonstration of the spirit of “good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability” between the two countries,” shared President of the Cambodian National Assembly Khuon Sudary.

Started in December 2021, after nearly 36 months of construction, in November 2024, the Cambodian National Assembly House project was completed and officially handed over to your functional units for management and use. The project is large-scale, with a total investment of 25 million USD, built on an area of 27m wide, 49m long, 12 floors high and two basements for parking. The construction of the project was carried out under extremely difficult conditions due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Overcoming all difficulties, the project was completed, ensuring absolute safety and meeting the requirements of progress, quality and aesthetics.
