Commendation of exemplary workers, civil servants and grassroots union chairmen for the period 2019-2023

This morning, August 6, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a conference to honor outstanding workers, civil servants, employees and grassroots union chairmen in the 2019-2023 period. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Ly Kieu Van; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien attended the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung congratulated the outstanding achievements of 25 excellent union cadres and 35 exemplary union members and employees. These are beautiful flowers rising from the difficulties and hardships in construction sites and factories, in the efforts to rise from the individual circumstances of each union cadre and employee's family, convincing evidence for the results of the movements launched by the Labor Federation at all levels, affirming the role and recognizing the contributions of bright examples, with a sense of responsibility, courage and intelligence, generations of union cadres have overcome difficulties, with many initiatives to accompany the team of employees.

Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung suggested that in the context of deep international integration and implementation of new generation free trade agreements, the fourth industrial revolution has posed challenges and difficulties for trade union organizations.

In the province, the formation and development of the Southeast Economic Zone and economic zones and industrial parks have attracted many investors to invest in the area, accordingly the number of enterprises and labor force will increase rapidly, associated with the inevitable requirement that workers in enterprises must have the right to choose an organization to represent their legitimate rights and interests. More than anyone else, the trade union is a legal organization that protects the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Therefore, the Provincial Federation of Labor must continue to innovate its methods of operation to suit the requirements of new tasks.

In addition, it is necessary to regularly advise and report to the Party Committee, closely coordinate with local authorities, sectors and levels to promote the patriotic emulation movement, study and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, thereby multiplying typical examples, good people and good deeds to create a strong influence among union members, workers and trade unions at all levels.

Diversify the forms of gathering union members and workers from all economic sectors in a practical and effective manner, build a truly clean and strong union organization, contributing to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Continue to perform well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially in the areas of job creation, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene; grasp the situation of workers and workers; build democratic, lawful, and harmonious labor relations so that workers can trust, share, attach themselves and accompany the enterprise for a long time. Increase attention to training and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider admitting, especially workers in the non-state enterprise sector.

Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung hopes that the outstanding individuals honored this time will continue to promote the achieved results, become the core in agencies, units and enterprises, creating a strong spread so that there will be more and more beautiful flowers in patriotic emulation movements.

Provincial leaders believe that the achievements and traditions of the 95-year history of the Trade Union will be a rich reality, creating a foundation for the Trade Union of Quang Tri province to affirm its functions and position, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals, building the homeland of Quang Tri to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen The Lap said that, implementing Directive No. 09/CT-UBND dated August 26, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on launching emulation to successfully carry out the annual socio-economic development tasks and the 5-year plan (2021-2025) according to the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress; The program "75 thousand initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop", "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic" of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in 2022 and 2023, employees and workers in the province had 4,800 initiatives bringing value to units and enterprises of nearly 42 billion VND.

Through the province's Technical Innovation Competitions for the period 2019-2023, union members had 153 scientific and technological topics and solutions recognized by the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 40 Creative Labor certificates to union members and workers of Quang Tri province.

Through the selection of all levels, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decided to award certificates of merit to 35 outstanding employees and 25 outstanding union chairmen who have made many outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of good workers, creative workers and building strong union organizations in the period of 2019-2023.

Although the typical examples honored this time have different positions, time working with the trade union organization, fields and areas of operation, they all have in common the passion, high responsibility, spirit of constant innovation and creativity, always trusted by colleagues and workers, and trusted and supported by leaders at all levels.
