Through the Dream House program launched by VietNamNet Newspaper, Mr. Duong Van Hai (born in 1971, residing in Thanh Tri village, Minh Phu commune, Soc Son district) received 75 million VND from a benefactor to build a new, more spacious and solid house.
Mr. Hai's family was moved to receive the Dream House.
The project started in May 2023 and was completed after nearly 3 months, including 2 bedrooms, 1 living room and ancillary works.
Hai's family is one of the poor households in the area. After the divorce, his wife took their son with her, leaving him alone to raise his daughter. Due to poor health, pancreatitis and having to have his gallbladder removed, he is no longer able to work. However, to earn money to raise his child, he still tries to work as a construction worker part-time.
Ms. Hoang Thi Bao Huong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper, shared that Dream House is a social work program that VietNamNet Newspaper has actively implemented over the past many years to contribute to building warm homes, joy and spreading love to people in difficult circumstances across the country.
“The contributions of sponsors not only bring a new home, but also create hope and belief for people in difficult circumstances. I hope this is not only a house to shelter from the rain and sun but also a place to bring joy, happiness, health and all good luck to the family. In the coming time, VietNamNet Newspaper will continue to work with sponsors to implement the Dream House program to bring more happy homes to every home,” the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper shared more.
