The work of protecting and taking care of the health of Lam Dong province's officials has been implemented carefully and effectively in recent times. Regular medical examination and treatment activities have been given attention, initially improving the quality, creating trust and peace of mind for officials when coming to medical examination and treatment at facilities in the province, meeting the requirements of the Central Government and the province.

After a period of dedication and active contribution to the Party and State, and successfully completing the tasks of agencies and organizations, Party members and cadres have been cared for, protected, and have their health taken care of.
As of May 31, 2023, the total number of subjects protected and cared for in the province is 1,380 comrades (an increase of 06 comrades compared to the end of 2022). Subjects under the management of the Politburo and Secretariat are 13 comrades. Subjects under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee are 1,367 comrades.
The Health Care Committee of Cadres organized transportation and attentive service for the delegation of cadres under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat to go for periodic health check-ups at Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City; for those comrades who, due to work conditions or health conditions, cannot participate in the examination according to the Central's plan, the Committee invited them to have their blood drawn and examined according to the province's plan; for those who, due to health conditions, old age, and inability to travel, will have doctors and nurses come to take blood and examine them at their homes.
For the Provincial Cadre Health Care and Protection Board: Periodic health check-ups were organized for 142/193 comrades belonging to category 2 and 3 (73.57%) and 143/235 comrades belonging to category 2 former officials in Da Lat city (60.85%) at Lam Dong General Hospital. For comrades belonging to category 1, the first periodic health check-up was organized at the end of June 2023.
By the end of June 10, 2022, 9/12 districts and cities had completed organizing health check-ups for officials under their management; 3 districts and cities will organize check-ups in June 2023.
Through regular check-ups, it was found that the cases of common chronic diseases such as blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, mainly among retired cadres, besides there were some cases of 2 to 3 different diseases at the same time. During the examination, the doctors instructed each case on how to prevent the disease as well as adhere to the principles of taking medication or gave advice on a reasonable diet, drinking regimen, working, resting, and exercising in a dedicated manner, thereby creating satisfaction and trust of the cadres with the medical team.

Currently, the progress of the Provincial Cadre Medical Examination and Treatment Area has reached 97%, and the inauguration ceremony is expected to be held in the near future. On that basis, the Provincial Cadre Health Care and Protection Board has developed a plan to organize the apparatus and equipment to serve the Provincial Cadre Medical Examination and Treatment Area to meet standards, in accordance with current practice.
Regarding the work of protecting and taking care of the health of cadres: The quality of health examinations for cadres has been improved, basically creating trust and peace of mind for cadres when they come to medical examination and treatment at medical facilities in the province. A periodic health examination plan has been developed since the beginning of the year. Initially, the software for managing, protecting and taking care of cadres' health (Health Care) has been applied to the work of managing the health protection and care records of provincial cadres. However, in addition, the work of protecting and taking care of the health of cadres, at times and in some places, has not kept up with the requirements. The rate of subjects participating in periodic health check-ups is not high. The sense of responsibility and service attitude of some cadres, civil servants, nurses and caregivers assigned to take care of the health of cadres is sometimes and in some places not high. The survey of subjects expected to be included in the protection and health care category has not ensured the subjects.
