People's Army Newspaper gives Tet gifts to families in difficult circumstances in Huong Khe district

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Ngo Anh Thu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, said that in recent years, the People's Army Newspaper has coordinated with Thien Tam Fund and Vingroup Corporation to organize many Tet gift giving events for the poor in many localities across the country with the desire to join hands with all levels and sectors to carry out many practical and meaningful social security activities.

On this occasion, the People's Army Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund came to Huong Khe district to give gifts to the people, share some of the difficulties with the people, hoping that in the coming time, the government and people of Huong Khe district will unite and make efforts to build a more and more developed life, welcoming a new year full of joy and happiness.

Huong Khe is a locality with a rich revolutionary tradition, with 4 border communes, 5 border communes, a large area, people's lives still face many difficulties, often affected by natural disasters such as severe drought, storms, floods. Up to now, the whole district still has 3.64% multidimensional poor households and 3.97% near-poor households.

On behalf of the local government, Comrade Tu Thi Hoa, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Huong Khe District, thanked the Thien Tam Fund, Vingroup Corporation, and the People's Army Newspaper for their concern and sharing of difficulties with the government and people of Huong Khe District. During the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the People's Army Newspaper in collaboration with Thien Tam Fund and Vingroup Corporation presented 200 gifts worth a total of 120 million VND to people in difficult circumstances in Huong Khe district.
