The storm began in California on March 30 and lasted until March 31.

The Hill newspaper on March 31 quoted information from the US National Weather Service (NWS) warning that a fierce storm system will move across the central and eastern US, meaning that only a few areas of the country will not be in the storm's path.

The storm began on March 30 (local time) in California, where it experienced storms causing flooding that lasted until March 31.

The NWS warns that storms will continue to sweep across the United States, spreading severe weather risks on April 1 and 2 in the central and eastern United States.

Not stopping there, the NWS said that localities facing the highest risk should be prepared for any type of storm that may hit.

As of April 1 (local time), the highest risk areas extend from central and eastern Oklahoma to southeastern Kansas, central Missouri and southern Illinois.

As of April 2, the highest-risk area stretched from parts of Tennessee and the Ohio Valley to New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Weather hazards include the potential for large hail (greater than 5 cm across) and tornadoes, including some severe ones, with gusty winds in areas of severe thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms are also possible from northern Missouri to central Illinois and Indiana, bringing large hail.
