Speaking at the opening of the workshop, journalist Pham Tuan Anh - Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper said, "This event is an important milestone, part of a series of meaningful activities of the Vietnam ESG Forum, enthusiastically organized by Dan Tri newspaper. We are living in an era where sustainable development is no longer an option, but an inevitable requirement. Businesses not only need to make profits, but also have to make positive contributions to the environment and society and have a transparent and effective governance system. That is the spirit of ESG - Environment, Society and Governance".
The workshop provides a comprehensive picture of the current state of ESG corporate governance in Vietnam, pointing out strengths, weaknesses and challenges. Leading experts will share international experiences and provide practical solutions relevant to the reality in Vietnam, helping Vietnamese businesses overcome difficulties, seize opportunities and achieve sustainable success.
In addition, the workshop is also an open forum where businesses can proactively connect, exchange experiences and learn from each other. This is a valuable opportunity for us to find suitable ESG models and optimal solutions for each industry and field.
"We believe that through sharing and cooperation, we will create a strong business community, together aiming for sustainable development goals," Mr. Tuan Anh added.
At the workshop, delegates suggested many solutions for businesses to learn and apply sustainable management methods, explore new markets, and establish a foundation for sustainable development. Not only large businesses can implement ESG, but small businesses can do it, provided they follow the right direction and meet the right standards.
The workshop "ESG-oriented corporate governance - What to do, where to start?" is a satellite event, part of the series of activities of the Vietnam ESG Forum organized by Dan Tri newspaper from 2024.
