On the morning of March 6, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Duong Cong Vien (residing in Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province, a relative in the incident) said that yesterday afternoon (March 5), a representative of Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company came to meet his family to apologize for the incident that happened earlier.

"Yesterday afternoon, Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company came to my house to burn incense for my grandmother, then they apologized to the family. They said that all the misunderstandings leading to this story were caused by the consultant," said Mr. Vien.

The small hall containing ashes was bought by Mr. Vien's family for more than 10 million VND.

According to Mr. Vien, he read the explanation of Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company, he agreed to take the beautiful bones for an additional 3.5 million VND. "To take the beautiful bones, we have to pay an additional 3.5 million VND, my family agreed and signed the contract. But my family just wondered why they did not let our family buy the coffin for 10.5 million VND but forced us to buy another one with a higher price".

Mr. Vien said that through this incident, he really hopes that the authorities will investigate and clarify because the explanations of the company representative are just excuses.

"Of course, the company also wants to explain that they are right, because if they are wrong, they have violated the law. However, I find that explanation unreasonable; this issue must be clarified so that a similar situation like my family's will not happen again," Mr. Vien suggested.

A coffin model priced at nearly 65 million VND is on sale at Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company.

According to Mr. Thanh Chu (the person who denounced Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company on social networks), the above explanation of Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company is not true.

“They completely covered up and lied. The company staff did not allow urns to be brought in from outside,” said Mr. Chu.

According to Mr. Thanh Chu, the coffin that the company brought in was made of wood with an outer covering. The coffin containing the remains was made of ceramic and had to be purchased from them at a high price.

“Not only me but thousands of people are also upset because they have been in the same situation. One person can be suspicious, but how can we be suspicious when so many people are complaining?”, Mr. Thanh said indignantly.

Also on the morning of March 6, a representative of Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company said: "The company has sent someone to the family to ask them what they are not satisfied with so that we can learn from their experience."

According to a representative of Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company, when consulting, the staff wants people to use high-quality product packages to ensure quality.

"Perhaps while the family was in mourning, the consultant made excessive invitations, causing frustration... This needs to be corrected and lessons learned," said a representative of Thanh Binh An Lac Vien Joint Stock Company.

The incident is currently being verified and clarified by the authorities.
