At the end of August, Dan Tri newspaper cooperated with the Norwegian Seafood Council to organize an online cooking contest "Living healthy with Norwegian Seafood" with the desire to share a healthy lifestyle, focusing on health through delicious and nutritious dishes.
After nearly two months of launching and organizing, the Organizing Committee received nearly 100 entries and finally selected 8 excellent works to award prizes. The dishes in the contest used a variety of Norwegian seafood ingredients such as salmon, Saba fish, crab, shrimp... and many cooking styles such as pan-frying, grilling, salad, sashimi, hot pot...
On October 24, Dan Tri newspaper and the Norwegian Seafood Council held an award ceremony for the online cooking contest "Living healthy with Norwegian seafood".
The success of the competition has shown the results of creativity and efforts of many home chefs, along with the enthusiasm and passion for healthy cuisine in the community. Thanks to that, the entries received a large amount of interaction on the fanpage of Dan Tri newspaper.
Thrilled to receive Haaland's signed shirt
As an IT engineer, Mr. Khong Quang Minh (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) has little time to cook due to his busy work schedule. However, he still loves and regularly watches cooking shows on TV such as MasterChef.
Minh himself is interested in healthy foods, including fish, especially salmon. Therefore, when a friend introduced him to the contest "Healthy Living with Norwegian Seafood", he was very excited to participate.
Taking advantage of the weekend, Mr. Minh went to the supermarket to choose the ingredients and make Norwegian salmon with passion fruit sauce. The dish has a new flavor that made his father - who has never eaten salmon - praise it as delicious.

Not only that, the beautifully presented work also helped Mr. Minh surpass hundreds of other entries to win the first prize of the contest. Receiving the notice from the organizing committee while he was at work in the office, he felt indescribably happy, just wanted to go home to celebrate immediately.
"When I received the award, a shirt signed by player Erling Haaland, I felt very excited and happy. Until now, I am still considering where to hang this precious gift in the house to highlight the value of the shirt," he shared.
Mr. Khong Quang Minh would like to thank Dan Tri Newspaper and the Norwegian Seafood Council for organizing a meaningful contest, spreading a healthy lifestyle to the community. Besides, through this playground, he was inspired to go into the kitchen more, cooking delicious and healthy dishes for his family.
Win prizes with delicious, nutritious dishes for the whole family
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Ha Dong district, Hanoi) is a loyal reader of Dan Tri newspaper. Every day, before going to work, she often visits the newspaper's homepage or Facebook account to update the news.
When she accidentally read information about the contest "Healthy living with Norwegian seafood", Ms. Hong thought she would join for fun because normally, she often cooks salmon for her children with a variety of dishes such as pan-fried salmon, sashimi, salmon floss...
More importantly, Ms. Hong finds that salmon is very good for her child's health, and is also a familiar ingredient for mothers with young children who are in the weaning age. In addition, her husband is very passionate about the gym and loves a healthy lifestyle.
Therefore, Ms. Hong decided to cook pumpkin salmon porridge for the whole family to enjoy, and took a photo to enter the contest. The dish filled with love for her family helped her win second prize.

"When I cooked this pumpkin salmon porridge, I just hoped that the dish would provide enough nutrition for the whole family. Luckily, the porridge was delicious and my husband and children enthusiastically responded. When the organizers announced that I won second prize, I was really surprised because this was the first time I boldly registered to participate in a cooking competition," Ms. Hong shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong thanked the organizers for creating a useful and valuable playground for mothers and wives like her to have the opportunity to show off their talents and convey the nutritional value that Norwegian salmon brings to everyone. She also thanked her family, colleagues and friends for their enthusiastic support and sharing to help her achieve high results.
Bursting with emotion when receiving the award
In addition to the first and second prizes, the organizing committee of the contest "Healthy living with Norwegian seafood" also awarded 3 third prizes to authors Cao Hong Ngoc, Bui Manh Tien and Ngo Khanh Huyen.
Mr. Bui Manh Tien (Cau Giay District, Hanoi) said that he registered to participate in the contest because the most special prize was a shirt signed by football star Haaland. As a long-time fan of the Norwegian player, he was determined to try his luck.
More specifically, Mr. Tien always loves a healthy lifestyle, so he hopes that through the contest, he will have the opportunity to learn and share many delicious recipes from Norwegian seafood, which can be easily applied in daily life.
"My first feeling when I received the award announcement from the organizers was anxiety, even thinking I was being cheated, not believing that I had won the award. I had to go to Dan Tri 's fanpage (Facebook page) and check carefully to believe that this was true. I was very happy and excited because this was the first time I had received an award from such a big competition," the male author said.
Mr. Tien also thanked the Norwegian Embassy and Dan Tri newspaper for creating a useful, meaningful and civilized playground for all readers like him to freely create, demonstrate their cooking talent and share delicious dishes from clean ingredients.

"When I heard that I won third prize, I felt overwhelmed with happiness. At first, when I participated, I didn't expect too much because I saw many people cooking well and decorating their work beautifully. I immediately told my mother this good news. The dish I registered for the contest is also the dish my mother likes to eat the most after each time she comes back from the hospital," she shared.
Like the other award-winning authors, Ms. Huyen also sent her most sincere thanks to the Norwegian Embassy, Dan Tri newspaper and the judges for being fair, creating an interesting and useful playground, honoring a healthy lifestyle, good for health.

That same evening, after finishing work and returning home at 7pm, Ms. Ngoc hurriedly went to the supermarket to buy Norwegian salmon. However, it took her nearly two hours and three supermarkets to get the fresh, delicious ingredients she wanted.
After a meticulous preparation process, Ms. Ngoc put the Norwegian salmon with passion fruit sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetables on the table when the clock struck 10 p.m. Although it took a lot of effort and time, she was happy when the late-night meal received compliments from her relatives.
"When cooking for people every day, I often feel pressured because I don't know if the taste is suitable or not. Therefore, winning third prize in the competition not only makes me burst with joy but also makes me more confident every time I go into the kitchen," she shared.
Ms. Cao Hong Ngoc found the contest very meaningful in its desire to spread a healthy lifestyle to the community. She thanked Dan Tri newspaper for being a bridge to bring readers and the Norwegian Embassy as well as Norway closer together.
