Dan Tri Newspaper awards ESG Initiative writing contest for a sustainable Vietnam

(CLO) On January 9, Dan Tri Newspaper held an award ceremony for the ESG Initiative writing contest for a sustainable Vietnam in Hanoi, honoring outstanding authors and works that address issues related to the environment, society, and governance.

Launched in August 2024, the ESG Initiative for a Sustainable Vietnam contest organized by Dan Tri newspaper attracted the participation of readers nationwide. Nearly 100 quality entries were selected to be published on the contest's website. On January 9, the organizing committee presented awards to the winning authors, with 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 3 third prizes.

Journalist Nguyen Xuan Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper said that most of the entries followed the theme closely, bringing practical and creative initiatives to solve problems related to the environment, society and governance. Each initiative is a positive message, expressing the desire to join hands to build a prosperous, sustainable Vietnam and integrate with the global trend of ESG.

The contest aims to find initiatives to help realize the goal of minimizing negative impacts on the environment, protecting natural resources, using renewable energy, recycling products, managing waste, etc. The authors have chosen many creative approaches, from inventing new construction materials, building wastewater and waste treatment systems, raising community awareness, to corporate governance, gender equality, etc.

The active participation of many subjects, from students, teachers, lecturers, business owners, engineers or social activists, shows the spirit of sharing, connecting the community and spreading ideas and initiatives about ESG, as well as the consensus of Vietnamese people across the country towards the common goal of promoting the sustainable development of the country.
