Bac Giang strives for growth of 13.6% in 2025

Based on the results of socio-economic development in 2024, Bac Giang province aims to achieve economic growth (GRDP) of 13.6% in 2025, of which industry - construction increases by 16%; services increase by 7.5%; agriculture, forestry and fishery increase by 3.8%; product tax increases by 10%.

Striving for economic growth of 13.6% in 2025

According to the economic growth scenario in 2025, with a GRDP growth rate of 13.6%, the total added value will reach about 154,761 billion VND, about 18,500 billion VND higher than in 2024. The total GRDP (at current prices) in 2025 will be about 239,143 billion VND, the average GRDP per capita is expected to reach about 119.2 million VND (equivalent to 4,900 USD), about 530 USD higher than in 2024.

This growth is based on positive growth trends from economic sectors. In which, the industrial sector is the main driving force, contributing over 84.6% to growth in 2025 as a number of large enterprises have stabilized production and expanded their operations in 2025 and continued to maintain a growth rate of about 20-25%. In addition, it is forecasted that in 2025, a number of large enterprises will complete the construction of factories for rent, attracting new enterprises to production. The domestic sector continues to develop with the stability of a number of large-scale manufacturing industries such as garment, electricity, coal, etc.

The overall growth forecast for the industry and construction sector is 15.9%, contributing 11.9 percentage points to the province's overall GRDP growth. The growth rate of the service sector is about 7.5%, contributing 1.07 percentage points to the province's overall GRDP. The growth rate of the agricultural sector is about 12,723 billion VND, an increase of about 3.8% compared to 2024, contributing 0.34 percentage points to the province's overall GRDP.

From that general goal, Bac Giang province has developed scenarios of tasks and solutions for each quarter. Specifically, the province's GRDP in the first quarter of 2025 will increase by 13% over the same period last year; in the second quarter of 2025, it will increase by 12.7%; in the third quarter of 2025, it will increase by 14.1% and in the fourth quarter of 2025, it will increase by 14.3%.

Conditions for implementing the economic growth scenario in 2025

With the above growth target for 2025, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches and localities to focus on implementing the proposed tasks and solutions resolutely and effectively. At the same time, urge slow-moving projects to be implemented, and thoroughly resolve projects that have been approved but investors have not implemented. For the construction sector, mobilize social resources, speed up the investment progress of key public investment projects of the province. Focus on urban development according to the planning, focusing on early completion of the construction of infrastructure to expand the administrative boundaries of Bac Giang city, Chu town, Luc Ngan district (new); new urban areas and residential areas that have been approved for investment.
