Up to now, Dong Nai has allowed the exploitation of fill soil at 8 locations to serve the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and Ho Chi Minh City beltway 3. These locations are basically close to the contractors' construction sites for convenient transportation.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just released statistics on land resources for key projects in the South, including Long Thanh airport, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
Filling soil of some units is expected to be brought to the construction site next week to serve the construction.
According to reports from investors and contractors, the three above-mentioned projects need more than 5.24 million m3 of fill soil.
To date, the province has identified specific locations with a total exploitable volume of approximately 5.48 million m3, approximately 237,000 m3 more than the demand. A total of 8 locations for exploiting fill materials have been identified and licensed.
Of these, 2 positions were granted under a special mechanism to Central Construction Group Corporation in Hamlet 6, Phuoc Binh Commune, Long Thanh District; Lizen Corporation, at the location of the landfill material exploitation area in Tam Phuoc Ward.
There are 5 licensed mining locations under Group IV minerals for Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC, located in Long Giao town, Cam My district.
This unit was also given another location in the landfill material exploitation area of Bau Can commune, Long Thanh district.
Hai Dang Joint Stock Company is licensed in the landfill material exploitation area of Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city.
Central Construction Group Corporation exploits in the landfill material exploitation area of Phuoc Binh commune, Long Thanh district.
Finally, Cuong Thuan IDICO Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (package number 18, same construction section as Truong Son) in the area of filling materials exploitation in Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city.
The Tam Phuoc - Phuoc Tan quarry cluster will reclaim the fill soil during the quarrying process to serve the project.

According to contractors, up to now, all procedural problems for exploiting earth and rock have been resolved.
Units are completing related procedures and expect the soil to be brought to the construction site next week to speed up road embankment.
Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway through Dong Nai is more than 34km long, currently the output is only 25-35%, the contractor is still facing difficulties with the construction site and the embankment has been removed.
The 11.2km long Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, which has been handed over to meet construction needs, is still lacking sand. Long Thanh Airport alone is short of about 4.9 million cubic meters of rock and is being cleared.
