Kinhtedothi - On the morning of March 23, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the province's Liberation Day (March 23, 1975 - March 23, 2025) and receive the First Class Labor Medal. President Luong Cuong attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized that during the 21 years of resistance war, the army and people of Binh Phuoc demonstrated their steadfast spirit and were ready to sacrifice for national independence. The resounding victories on this land have contributed to the heroic history of the whole country.

After 50 years of liberation, Binh Phuoc has overcome difficulties and achieved many comprehensive achievements. In 2024, the provincial economic scale reached more than 115 trillion VND, 92 times higher than in 1997. The average GRDP growth rate in the period of 2021-2025 reached 9.4%, higher than the national average. Foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction reached nearly 5 billion USD, economic and social infrastructure was invested synchronously, and people's lives were constantly improved.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong respectfully sends his best regards and best wishes to the revolutionary veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, labor heroes, generals, officers, wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of heroic martyrs, people with meritorious services to the country, and all compatriots, comrades, people of all ethnic groups and officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Binh Phuoc province.

President Luong Cuong affirmed that Binh Phuoc is a living proof of the resilient will and the desire for continuous development. From a fierce battlefield, Binh Phuoc has risen to become a dynamically developing province in the Southeast region.

The victory of An Loc - Binh Phuoc not only had strategic significance in the resistance war against the US, but was also a symbol of the indomitable spirit, iron will and belief in certain victory of the army and people of the whole country.

The President asked Binh Phuoc to continue promoting its heroic tradition and unite the people to build the province into a prosperous and modern one. He also emphasized that the 50th anniversary of liberation is an opportunity to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and remind the current generation to continue writing glorious history with new achievements.

On this occasion, the President awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Phuoc province, recognizing the province's outstanding contributions to socio-economic development and national defense.

Previously, the President and the delegation offered incense at the Phu Rieng Do National Historical Site - where the first Indochinese Communist Party cell in the Southeast was established - and visited and presented gifts to veterans and historical witnesses of the province.
