Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, expressed his respect and congratulated the eight officers on their departure for their mission, emphasizing that this is a glorious, responsible, and proud mission, but also very difficult and arduous.

Senior Lieutenant General Chien is very confident that the officers assigned to this mission will complete their tasks well in all positions. To date, the army has sent nearly 1,100 officers and staff to participate in UN peacekeeping operations.
He hopes that this number will continue to increase and increase rapidly in the coming time. The policy of the Military Commission of the Ministry of National Defense is to expand the scale, form, position, number of participants and increase the proportion of women.
Senior Lieutenant General Chien requested that officers on duty must ensure absolute safety while performing tasks outside the area because the security situation is extremely complicated and unpredictable.

To ensure this content, he required officers to thoroughly understand and strictly implement the Party's policies and guidelines, State laws and military discipline as well as United Nations regulations and the laws of the host country.
According to Major General Pham Manh Thang, Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, all preparations for the deployment of the 8 officers have been basically completed, all are mentally secure, have determined their tasks well and are ready to depart.
Previously, the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department did a good job of selecting officers to ensure they met the requirements of military capacity, level, knowledge of UN peacekeeping, foreign language ability and good health.
The 8 officers on this mission include:
1. Lieutenant Colonel Bui Thi Minh Nguyet, replacing Lieutenant Colonel Do Thi Hieu, takes on the position of training staff officer, MINUSCA mission, Central African Republic.
2. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Tuan, replacing Captain Le Son Tung, takes on the position of equipment staff officer, MINUSCA mission, Central African Republic.
3. Major Duy Van Son, replacing Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Thong, assumed the position of operations officer, MINUSCA mission, Central African Republic.
4. Captain Le Van Chien, replacing Major Trinh Van Hung, assumed the position of intelligence processing and analysis officer, MINUSCA Mission, Central African Republic.
5. Lieutenant Nguyen Huyen Anh, replacing Captain Nguyen Phuong Linh, takes on the position of information and communication officer, MINUSCA mission, Central African Republic.
6. Senior Lieutenant Phung Minh Cuong, replacing Captain Nguyen Hai Duy, takes on the position of intelligence staff officer, MINUSCA mission, Central African Republic.
7. Major Le Thi Bich Ngoc, replacing Captain Pham Vu Huy Hiep, assumed the position of staff officer, UNMISS mission, Republic of South Sudan.
8. Captain Vu Nguyet Anh, replacing Major Vu Huong Thuy, assumed the position of military observer, UNMISS mission, Republic of South Sudan.
To date, Vietnam has sent nearly 1,100 officers and staff to participate in United Nations peacekeeping operations at three missions and the United Nations headquarters.
