Mr. Luong Minh Phuc - Director of the HCM City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) said that the Board is currently assigned by the city to implement 5 key traffic projects including: Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3; An Phu Intersection; Upgrading and Expanding National Highway 50 Project; Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho Underpass; Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road.

The Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project with a cost of more than 4,800 billion will be completed by the end of 2024.

In 2024, the Board will work with contractors and supervision consultants to speed up construction progress to ensure quality, safety, environmental sanitation and minimize impacts on people's lives, activities and travel during project implementation.

Accordingly, in 2024, the unit will strive to complete the Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho intersection underpass construction project. In particular, 2 construction packages will be synchronously deployed to complete and open the HC2 tunnel branch to traffic on June 30, 2024. Complete and open the HC1 tunnel branch and the entire project on December 31, 2024.

For the project of building the road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa, Binh Tan, the Board will synchronously deploy 5 construction packages. Complete package XL9 (construction of the underpass at the beginning of the route, Thang Long street area) by July 30, 2024. By the end of 2024, this entire key project worth more than 4,800 billion VND will be completed.

Along with completing the two above projects, the Transport Department aims to accelerate progress to ensure the goal of completing the entire expressway section of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project by the end of 2025 and completing the entire project by the end of 2026.

For the construction and expansion project of National Highway 50, 7 construction and installation packages will be implemented synchronously. The 4.3 km section of Song Hanh - National Highway 50 will be opened to traffic by the end of 2024. The entire project will be completed by the end of 2025.

An Phu Interchange Construction Project, the Board aims to synchronously deploy 10 construction packages. Complete the construction packages of HC1-01 Underpass, HC1-02 Underpass, Ba Dat Bridge, and Giong Ong To Bridge by December 31, 2024. Complete the entire project by April 30, 2025.

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City transport sector will strive to complete construction of transport infrastructure projects.

In addition to the 5 key traffic projects mentioned above, in 2024, the Traffic Department will also strive with localities to continue to accelerate compensation and site clearance work, and is expected to receive the site to continue construction and complete and put into service 38 typical projects and works of the city.

My Thuy Interchange Construction Project (Ky Ha Bridge Package 4); Construction of Hang Bang Canal section from Mai Xuan Thuong Street to Van Tuong Canal, District 5 and District 6.

Ho Chi Minh City and 4 provinces propose to apply special mechanism to build 206 km of Ring Road 4. Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project passes through 5 localities with a total length of 206 km and a total investment of more than 105,000 billion VND. It is proposed to apply special mechanism like Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
