Car fire at rush hour, serious traffic jam

(NLDO) - Pulling over to the side of the road, the driver quickly borrowed a fire extinguisher to try to put out the fire, but the fire broke out and completely burned the car.


On the evening of March 4, a representative of Traffic Police Team No. 14 (Hanoi City Police) said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to extinguish a car fire on Giai Phong Street.

Accordingly, at around 5:00 p.m. on March 4, Mr. NVH (born in 1984) drove a car with license plate 29D-007.xx from Hanoi city center to Ngoc Hoi. When he reached the area opposite house number 1750 Giai Phong Street (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi), the driver detected a burning smell so he immediately pulled the car over to the right side of the road.

After opening the hood to check, Mr. H. discovered a fire breaking out in the engine compartment. In a short time, the fire spread, engulfing the entire car. The driver quickly ran to borrow a fire extinguisher and tried to put out the fire with the people around, but to no avail.

The incident did not cause any casualties, however, the car was completely burned down.

The fire occurred during rush hour, causing serious traffic congestion in the area, making it difficult for vehicles to move.
