(HG) - Hau Giang High Performance Sports currently has 15 athletes awarded the title of Grandmaster, an increase of 12 athletes compared to the beginning of the year. Judo 5 athletes (Nguyen Tuong Vy, Vu Ngoc Gia Huy, Tran Thuy Duy, Nguyen Cong Trung Nam, Danh Hao), petanque 3 athletes (Thai Thi Hong Thoa, Tran Le Thanh Thao, Tran Le Lan Anh), jujitsu 4 athletes (Nguyen Dang Thuan, Tran Thuy Duy, Danh Ut Kien, Le Vo Tri), rowing 2 athletes (Thach Thanh Sang, Tran Minh Quan), archery 1 athlete (Huynh Hoang Nghin). In addition, there are 16 athletes awarded the title of Level I, an increase of 13 athletes compared to the beginning of the year: judo 8 athletes, jujitsu 4 athletes, rowing 2 athletes, archery 2 athletes. The remaining sports such as athletics, karate, Vovinam and basketball are awaiting the decision to recognize their ranks.
Archer Huynh Hoang Nghin achieved the rank of grandmaster in 2023.
The national level of athletes is based on their performance in national and international competitions. Thus, the provincial sports achievements have completed the target of 25 athletes reaching national level this year, including 10 grandmasters and 15 level I athletes.
