On the evening of June 7, while transferring caught squid to the storage compartment of fishing boat QNg 95255 TS while anchored at Thuyen Chai Island dock, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan suffered a stroke.

On June 9, ship 468 of the Naval Region 4 Command arrived at Truong Sa Island (Truong Sa District, Khanh Hoa Province) and handed over a fisherman who fell ill while fishing at sea, for treatment by the island's medical force.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 8, when ship 468 was on patrol duty in the waters of An Bang island, it received orders from superiors to move to Thuyen Chai island to take a sick fisherman from fishing boat QNg 95255 TS anchored there to Truong Sa island - where there are better conditions for medical treatment.
The Naval Region 4 Command said the patient was Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, born in 1965, from Binh Chanh commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, a crew member on the fishing boat QNg 95255 TS, captained by Mr. Ngo Van Thanh, born in 1975 from the same hometown.
This ship has only been sailing from the mainland to Truong Sa for a few days. The ship is a squid fishing ship with 35 crew members on board.
On the evening of June 7, while transferring caught squid to the storage compartment of the fishing boat while it was anchored at the Thuyen Chai Island dock, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan suffered a stroke. The fishing boat contacted the island and asked for assistance.
After examination, the Thuyen Chai Island medical team diagnosed the patient with a right-hemisphere stroke and recommended transferring the patient to Truong Sa Island for treatment.
Ship 468 of Naval Region 4 soon approached fishing boat QNg 95255 TS on the evening of June 8, then quickly transferred Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan to Truong Sa island safely.
The military medical force on Truong Sa island also promptly organized emergency treatment for Mr. Nhan./.
