Engineer Tran Viet Hung at the Nguyen Duc Canh Award Ceremony 2023.
Born in 1989, engineer Tran Viet Hung has been working at Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Company Limited for more than 10 years. With a small, quiet appearance and a gentle smile, few people would expect that this young man has such a "huge" achievement.
In the early days, when Samsung Thai Nguyen company was still under construction, young IT engineer Tran Viet Hung was one of the first to volunteer to work. With his diligence, hard work, intelligence, and friendliness, Hung received much love from his colleagues.
The first job Hung took on was installing a mobile phone production line, which was not an easy job for a newly graduated IT engineer at that time.
However, with determination to not be discouraged and diligence to overcome difficulties every day, the engineer gradually accumulated experience in the process of implementing work, learning from colleagues, combined with the knowledge learned while still in school, to achieve the best results in work.
Among the 17 initiatives that brought more than 501 billion VND in benefits to the company by engineer Tran Viet Hung, the initiative "Improving automation of production lines using 4.0 technology" brought the company 33.3 billion VND/year in benefits, after deducting equipment investment costs. This initiative was applied to 60 of the company's production lines in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Before engineer Tran Viet Hung's initiative was put into practice, the company used a lot of human resources, errors arose frequently, product quality was not good due to undetected errors, productivity was not high...
After analyzing the causes and finding solutions, I put into operation new automatic devices to reduce human dependence such as multi-joint robots that automatically pick up and drop products into the function testing machine. The result is to reduce manpower and increase accuracy in testing the functions of phones. At the same time, improve product quality; increase output from 2,177 products to 2,770 products - engineer Tran Viet Hung said.
Next, engineer Tran Viet Hung had the initiative “Integrated improvement of automatic SPEN inspection in image inspection machines”, which was introduced into 20 production lines in the first quarter of 2023. In particular, this initiative can be applied to other Samsung factories around the world…
With this initiative, engineer Tran Viet Hung has benefited the company 27.9 billion VND/year (after deducting the cost of purchasing improved products). In addition, engineer Tran Viet Hung has also had initiatives that benefited the company from 30 billion VND/year to 84.2 billion VND/year...
