The event attracted more than 1,000 leaders and experts with the participation of big names such as Google DeepMind, IBM, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell and many other leading technology corporations from Silicon Valley (USA) and many developed countries and economies.
Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Duc Tam said that Vietnam is at a very important time as it prepares to enter a new era - the era of national growth.
In that context, the Politburo issued Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, which continued to emphasize that science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation are important "keys" to the country's socio-economic development.
Focusing on promoting digital transformation, green transformation and developing science and technology, innovation to create breakthroughs in productivity, quality and increase the competitiveness of the economy, in which the semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence are identified as playing a key role.
With a series of activities from research and discussion to business connection taking place over 5 days, AISC 2025 opens up many opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises and foreign investors to connect, exchange experiences and cooperate in investment in the high-tech sector in Vietnam.
Mr. Trinh Khac Hue, General Director of Qorvo Vietnam Company, expects the AISC conference to be an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises and technology enterprises around the world to connect and share new information and knowledge about AI and the semiconductor industry that is being strongly promoted. In particular, the connection between global enterprises and human resources in Vietnam is the key to promoting the strong development of these industries.
Currently, NIC is coordinating to organize courses according to US standards, contributing to the goal of developing 50,000 semiconductor engineers. With the experience and knowledge of global companies, combined with Vietnam's human resources, it will promote AI and the semiconductor industry to develop more strongly.
Sharing at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Trung, Deputy Director of Information Technology, Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank, said that Vietnam is at a very favorable time to become the world's AI center.
One of the favorable factors is that Vietnam currently has a young population, a large population size, reaching more than 100 million people, many young people are passionate about technology.
From the business perspective, Mr. Nguyen Hong Trung believes that the cooperation of businesses in general and technology businesses in particular, along with the Government's breakthrough policies on science, technology and innovation development, is the "key" to implementing sooner the plan to put Vietnam on the world technology map as well as the country's socio-economic development goals.
Responding to the press’s question about Vietnam’s advantages in the race to attract “technology eagles”, Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of Aitomatic, said: AISC 2025 marks an important turning point in the development of AI and semiconductor technology. This is an event that brings together the world’s leading innovators to showcase real breakthroughs at the intersection of AI and semiconductors.
Vietnam has advantages thanks to political stability, investment attraction policies of the Government and appropriate educational orientation. In addition, the young population with high birth rate is also an attractive factor of Vietnam's investment environment, enterprises investing in Vietnam are also investing in the future of the enterprise.
AISC 2025 focuses on the latest and groundbreaking content of AI in revolutionizing chip design and manufacturing, and the potential of advanced semiconductor architectures for AI with key activities including technical workshops; exhibitions, cross-border business connections; high-level policy forums with the participation of Vietnamese Government leaders.
In addition to the main event series, AISC 2025 is the venue for the announcement ceremony of Vietnamese organizations officially joining the AI Alliance - a global alliance founded by IBM, Aitomatic Meta, AMD, Intel and leading academies, currently gathering more than 140 members from 25 countries, with the mission of promoting open innovation in AI development.
