On June 28, regarding the criminal case of stock market manipulation that occurred at Asia Pacific Securities Joint Stock Company, Asia Pacific Investment Joint Stock Company and IDJ Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company, Hanoi City Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and issue a temporary detention order for 5 accused to investigate the crime of "Stock market manipulation" stipulated in Article 211 of the 2015 Penal Code. The People's Procuracy at the same level has approved the above procedural decisions.
The five arrested subjects include: Nguyen Do Lang (born in 1974, residing at 12AT3 Nam Thang Long Urban Area, Dong Ngac Ward, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi; General Director of Asia Pacific Securities Joint Stock Company); Pham Duy Hung (born in 1979, residing at No. 14 Q27, Lane 136 Nguyen An Ninh, Truong Dinh Ward, Hoang Mai, Hanoi; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asia Pacific Securities Joint Stock Company); Huynh Thi Mai Dung (born in 1975, residing at 12AT3 Nam Thang Long Urban Area, Dong Ngac Ward, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi; wife of Nguyen Do Lang); Nguyen Thi Thanh (born in 1981, residing at No. 29/267 Bo De, Bo De Ward, Long Bien, Hanoi; Chief Accountant of Asia Pacific Securities Joint Stock Company); Pham Thi Duc Viet (born in 1982, residing at Room 807, Building N01, T5, Diplomatic Corps, Xuan Tao Ward, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi; Deputy Head of Customer Service Department, Asia Pacific Securities Joint Stock Company).
Previously, on June 23, VNA reporters reported that the Hanoi City Police had decided to prosecute a criminal case of stock market manipulation at Asia-Pacific Securities Company (APS), Asia-Pacific Investment Joint Stock Company (API) and IDJ Vietnam Investment Company (IDJ). In addition, the State Securities Commission requested the above companies to disclose information as prescribed and report to the State Securities Commission and the Stock Exchange as prescribed by law. The State Securities Commission will continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies in handling the case.
Hanoi City Police are continuing to investigate, clarify, and strictly handle according to the provisions of law.
