The People's Committee of Pleiku City has just issued Decision No. 207/QD-UBND dated February 24, 2025 on recognizing 14 wards of Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province to meet civilized urban standards in 2024.
Accordingly, 14/14 wards of Pleiku city, including wards: Thang Loi, Yen The, Dien Hong, Hoa Lu, Ia Kring, Tay Son, Tra Ba, Yen Do, Hoi Thuong, Hoi Phu, Thong Nhat, Dong Da, Phu Dong, Chi Lang have been recognized as "Wards meeting civilized urban standards" in 2024.

The above results are the efforts and determination of the entire political system, the participation of departments, branches, and organizations at all levels of government. In order for the contents of building civilized urban wards to be widely deployed and put into practice, the leaders of the wards have focused on directing propaganda work with the motto of being vivid, comprehensive in content, rich and diverse in form. The contents of the plan and criteria for civilized urban wards have been widely propagated at residential group meetings, meetings of departments, branches, organizations, etc. Along with that, the People's Committees of the wards have focused on directing the implementation of civilized urban lifestyle in the area, focusing on propaganda to raise people's awareness of environmental protection and ensuring urban order, thereby helping people raise their sense of responsibility, awareness of the purpose, meaning, and necessity of implementing civilized urban lifestyle, contributing to changing the behavior of each person.
It is known that according to Decision No. 04/2022/QD-TTg dated February 18, 2022 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Regulations on criteria, order and procedures for considering recognition of meeting civilized urban standards, to be recognized as "Ward meeting civilized urban standards", wards need to meet 9/9 criteria on: Planning; traffic; environment and food safety; security and order; urban information and communication; employment, income and poor households; culture, sports; health, education; political system and responsibilities of urban authorities./.
