Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong raised many issues at the Government Standing Committee's conference with businesses, such as teaching and learning English, increasing standards for social housing, supporting industries, etc.

On the morning of September 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Government Standing Committee meeting working with large enterprises on solutions to contribute to the country's socio-economic development. Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup , commented that this is a conference that shows concern, encouragement and is an act of inspiring the business community like Vingroup to have more motivation and energy to strive for further economic development. Mr. Vuong also proposed a number of groups of issues. Regarding training, the Chairman of Vingroup proposed that the Government promote English training and popularization, not only in public schools but also for the entire population, towards a global citizen society.

Mr. Vuong affirmed that Vingroup and other businesses are willing to sponsor teachers to go to remote areas. He said that if we promote English training from remote areas to urban areas, it is like we create a better "fishing rod" for children in disadvantaged areas, contributing to the development of these areas in the future. He suggested that the Government promote or expand the quota for investment in training students in the technology, computer science, AI, big data, etc. sectors. Accordingly, over time, we will create a large number of workers in this industry. Regarding the issue of social housing, he proposed that the Government have a mechanism to designate investors to shorten the time to complete procedures, because the biggest limitation for social housing today is related to the content of 10% profit. Specifically, Mr. Vuong reflected that if real estate businesses carry out this activity with a profit of 10%, it will not be possible, because if they only have capital stagnant for 1-2 years or sell slowly for 1-2 years, they will lose money, while social housing is a contribution, not a business. Vingroup proposed to increase the standards of social housing, that is, there must be a basement for parking, a playground for children as well as other amenities. Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong proposed that the Government support small businesses to participate in the supporting industry, at the same time, VinFast committed to purchasing part or all of the components. Regarding the supporting industry sector, he suggested that the Government have mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises so that they have the initial conditions to participate in the supporting industry chain. Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong said that if we can promote this issue, Vietnam will have a very strong supporting industry. According to him, Vietnam currently has a number of businesses that are promoting industrial production. Billionaire Vuong believes that this is an opportunity to promote and develop the supporting industry. He said that VinFast's current output is 80,000 vehicles/year, next year it will be 200,000 vehicles, clearly exceeding the threshold at which supporting businesses can operate profitably. Mr. Vuong affirmed that VinFast is ready to commit to purchasing part or all of those components.
