At the conference, Fisheries Control Team No. 3 (located in Tam Giang commune, Nui Thanh) was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Propaganda Department for its outstanding achievements in sea and island propaganda work in 2023.

It is known that in order to effectively carry out propaganda work on seas and islands, and disseminate laws to local people, Fisheries Control Team No. 3 always proactively coordinates, maintains close contact with Party committees and authorities, and signs programs to coordinate activities with organizations in the province as a basis for implementing tasks.

In particular, the Team has coordinated with the Propaganda Department of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee to establish working groups, send reporters directly to high schools in the province to organize propaganda about the sea and islands, combining propaganda to attract high-quality human resources to build the Navy.

Among the achievements, the Team has successfully completed the work of propagating and disseminating the law to the people and fishermen in the area and at sea; focusing on propagating contents such as: United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982, Vietnam Fisheries Law 2017, Vietnam Sea Law, Directive No. 45 dated December 13, 2017 of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the warning of the European Commission on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing...

The activities of Fisheries Control Team No. 3 have contributed to raising awareness among people and fishermen to exploit aquatic products safely, sustainably and legally, helping the Vietnamese fisheries industry to soon remove the "yellow card" of the European Commission (EC).
