Interprovincial bus route adjacent to Quang Tri

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province decided to approve the project information and agreed to organize a bidding to select an investor for the project of operating and providing public passenger transport services by non-subsidized buses on the inter-provincial bus route between Quang Tri and Hue and vice versa.

Notably, this inter-provincial bus route connecting Quang Tri and Hue (route number 11) has a distance of 84km, with a route from Gio Hai beach (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province) to the Southern bus station (Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province).

According to the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, the project aims to facilitate and further promote travel and trade between the two localities, especially in accessing economic, commercial, medical, educational and tourism centers in the two provinces and neighboring areas, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, tourism and trade in the two provinces of Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue. At the same time, limiting the use of personal vehicles, thereby contributing to reducing accidents, traffic jams and environmental pollution.

The total investment capital of the project is over 10 billion VND in the form of public bidding. The time to start organizing the selection of investors is in the fourth quarter of 2024. The time and progress of the project implementation is 10 years from the date of the decision approving the results of the investor selection.

Previously, Giao Thong Newspaper reported that the People's Committee of Quang Tri province decided to announce the list of fixed intra-provincial passenger transport routes and fixed intra-provincial and adjacent bus routes in the province.

Accordingly, Quang Tri province has 8 fixed intra-provincial passenger transport routes and 13 fixed intra-provincial and adjacent bus routes.

Regarding buses, in addition to 10 intra-provincial routes (2 routes in operation, 1 announced but not yet in operation, and 7 planned routes), Quang Tri province has 3 planned inter-provincial bus routes, including 2 routes from Quang Tri province to Thua Thien Hue province and 1 route from Quang Tri province to Quang Binh province.

The inter-provincial bus route (route number 11) adjacent to Quang Tri - Hue passes through many inner city routes of Hue city.

Route from Gio Hai beach (on the coastal route Cua Tung - Cua Viet) - National Highway 9 (section Cua Viet port - National Highway 1) - Song intersection - National Highway 1 - Dong Ha market - Dong Ha bus station (Quang Tri) - National Highway 1 - Tran Nhan Tong street (Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue) - Ly Thai To street - Le Duan street - Phu Xuan bridge - Hanoi street - Le Quy Don street - Duong Van An street - Ha Huy Tap street - To Huu street - Vo Nguyen Giap street - Aeon Mall Hue commercial area - Loi Nong bridge - Au Lac street - An Duong Vuong street - Southern bus station (Hue city, Thua Thien Hue) and vice versa.

The operating time of the inter-provincial bus route from Quang Tri to Hue and vice versa is from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. The operating frequency is a maximum of 60 minutes/trip.

The number of vehicles invested is expected to be 8 (18-seat, 8-standing) 100% new, unused (manufactured from 2023 onwards), with emission standards from Euro V or higher. There is a support mechanism for the disabled, the elderly and priority subjects...
