Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam visits Luong Quoi Coconut Processing Company Limited

During the visit, the delegation listened to Mr. Cu Van Thanh - Director of Luong Quoi Coconut Processing Company Limited report on the company's activities in the past time and informed about the company's operational orientations in the coming time. The company's revenue in 2024 reached 2,200 billion VND, direct export was 75 million USD. Of which, many products are produced from coconut. Currently, when Vietnam integrates with the world, Luong Quoi has caught up with the world's advanced technologies, so processing has many advantages, especially deep processing of products from Ben Tre coconut.

The company is one of the enterprises that has diversified many coconut products and participated in many large markets in the world. Among them, Europe, America and some regional countries, including the Middle East, all have Vietnamese coconut products, produced by Luong Quoi. In the future, the company will be one of the enterprises that develop deeper processing of coconut products, increasing export sales more and more.

It is expected that by 2025, in line with the general development spirit of the whole country, the export processing company will reach the milestone of 2,500 billion VND, or about 85 million USD, and the remaining 15 million VND will be consumed in the domestic market. Luong Quoi is very proud that senior leaders of Cuba have visited the company many times and said that Cuba has very good conditions for growing coconuts, and suggested that the company come to Cuba to cooperate in investing in developing the coconut industry.

Comrade Rogelio Polanco Fuentes - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam thoroughly learned about the technical process of growing coconuts to the processing and export stage of Luong Quoi Coconut Company in particular, and Ben Tre in general. At the same time, he also introduced the potential of the country and people of Cuba, in which he said that Cuba has many similarities to develop the agricultural sector, including the time when Vietnam supported Cuba to successfully grow rice.

Currently, Cuba has the ability to develop suitable coconut cultivation and hopes that Luong Quoi Company and Ben Tre enterprises will come to learn and if conditions permit, cooperate in investing in developing the coconut industry in Cuba.
