Vietnam National Brand Week 2025 (from April 15 to 21, 2025) to celebrate Vietnam Brand Day (April 20), the province has implemented many practical activities to contribute to improving the competitiveness and brand value of Vietnamese products in general and the province's typical products in the market.
Local products are introduced and promoted at annual fairs.
With the theme for the activities of Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025 "Transparent information - Responsible consumption", the Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025 in the province, aiming to call for, mobilize and encourage the participation of state agencies, social organizations, enterprises and consumers in related activities; gradually making Consumer Rights Day an important driving force and highlight in socio-economic life, contributing to building a healthy business and consumption environment in the province. In particular, activities for consumer rights are encouraged to be organized and implemented throughout 2025, focusing on peak periods of business and consumption such as: Tet, holidays, shopping seasons or peak shopping days in the market.
The Department of Industry and Trade is an advisory unit, assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of industry and trade, issuing documents requesting production and business enterprises, supermarkets, and traditional markets in the province to actively participate in responding to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025 through activities such as: organizing the hanging of banners and propaganda slogans at enterprises, production and business establishments and on the online business interface of the unit; actively organizing trade promotion programs with diverse and attractive content (discounts, customer gratitude, ...), through many channels to increase consumer rights, promote effective business activities of enterprises, create bridges and interactions between parties; organize public events towards the consumer community, such as: participating in fairs, exhibitions, product displays, introductions, etc.; improve the efficiency of production and business activities associated with the responsibility of protecting consumer rights; Building and maintaining good relationships with consumers, making the responsibility of quickly and fully responding to consumers' requests and wishes a driving force for development and a competitive advantage for businesses in the market.
In order for the contents to be widely deployed to all classes of people, the Department coordinated with relevant units in the province to organize many practical activities such as: Organizing a photo contest "Vietnamese goods - Aspiration to reach far"; sending messages to propagate about Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day to mobile subscribers in the province; hanging banners and slogans at headquarters, markets, supermarkets, production and business establishments, residential areas; organizing training courses on food safety knowledge for organizations and individuals producing and trading food; strengthening inspection and control of quality and products circulating on the market through sampling and testing of food managed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, especially during peak periods of business and consumption, such as New Year's Day, Lunar New Year, etc. Thereby detecting, preventing, warning and promptly recommending cases at risk of food contamination and food poisoning.
According to Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Dong Thi Kieu Oanh: In order to create a ripple effect as well as improve the effectiveness of activities taking place during the Week, the Department of Industry and Trade advises and orients the building of brands, industries, and key products of the locality; combines the building and development of product brands, business brands with the National Brand, creating added value for society; focuses on accompanying and supporting businesses and entrepreneurs to develop their brands through supporting the improvement of production and processing management, enhancing value, and developing the consumption market for key products and typical products of the province. With the theme "Transparent information - responsible consumption" this year, to raise awareness of protecting consumers from increasingly sophisticated risks and fraud; in particular, supporting the business activities of legitimate production and trading enterprises; ensuring basic rights of consumers, especially the right to access information in a transparent and safe manner.
As one of the units specializing in providing consumer products for local people, Cao Bang supermarket organizes business in accordance with current regulations. Here, products are distributed quickly, meeting the shopping needs of consumers with Vietnamese goods accounting for 90 - 95%. In which, many groups of products in the province such as: sugar, peanuts, beans, green vegetables, traditional candies... with branded, quality products, creating trust with consumers. The products here are being chosen by many consumers in the province, especially on Saturdays and Sundays, the number of customers is higher than usual. Director of Cao Bang General Trading Joint Stock Company Nguyen Danh Hai said: The company signed contracts with reputable suppliers to ensure that goods at the supermarket always have the best quality and reasonable prices, while focusing on building a brand, a civilized and modern business style. Special attention is paid to local products to contribute to promoting production and consumption in the province.
Truc Mai mushroom production facility in Hong Quang 2 hamlet, Hung Dao commune (City) is one of the pioneers in applying high technology to organic mushroom production with an area of over 8,000m². Each year, the facility produces 90 tons of mushrooms, with a revenue of over 1 billion VND, creating stable jobs for 12 rural workers. The shiitake mushroom product is a 4-star OCOP product at the provincial level and meets organic standards, trusted by consumers. Mr. Do Van Vien, owner of Truc Mai mushroom production facility, shared that shiitake mushrooms have high economic value but require strict care techniques. From repeated experimental research, along with investment in modern production equipment, the unit has provided the market with shiitake mushroom products all year round, especially with off-season shiitake mushroom products that are highly appreciated by experts, and trusted by consumers, which is a great source of encouragement for the production unit.
Ms. Nong Thi Huong, Hop Giang Ward (City) said, with the current system of supermarkets and convenience stores, consumer products, especially food products, are very convenient for consumers from choosing brands, product quality, after-sales information of businesses have gradually developed. In particular, the authorities regularly inspect service providers and traditional markets, so we consumers are very secure.
Ensuring life, health, honor, dignity, reputation, property, and other legitimate interests when participating in transactions and using products, goods, and services is the first right of consumers. Therefore, every citizen participating in transactions must always be a wise consumer, choosing quality suppliers and products, resolutely not using products that do not ensure quality, contributing to creating a healthy business environment.
With the activities of the National Brand Week to celebrate Vietnam Brand Day in the province, it contributes to raising responsibility, strengthening coordination between state agencies and enterprises, while honoring and promoting Vietnamese brands and products, OCOP products, typical rural industrial products of the province, arousing the aspirations of the business community to reach out in the process of building brands and sustainable development of the country.
