Over 2,000 athletes participate in the Cross Country Race in response to the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people

The tournament attracted over 2,000 athletes from 10 participating units .

Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Duong Hoang Sum, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) Tra Vinh; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and leaders of provincial departments and branches... attended.

This is a sports activity to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025); 79 years of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025). The activity has over 2,000 athletes from 10 units in the province; of which, over 650 athletes compete in 04 running events: 04km for young men; 02km for young women, teenage boys and teenage girls. The accompanying walk in response to the Olympic Running Day for the health of the whole people has over 1,300 athletes who are provincial leaders, leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors and youth... participating.

Comrade Cao Quoc Dung, Deputy Director of Tra Vinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism delivered the opening speech.

After nearly 01 competition session on the inner city routes of Tra Vinh city such as: Pham Ngu Lao, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Pham Hong Thai, Pham Thai Buong and 19/5... The Organizing Committee awarded 04 sets of prizes to outstanding athletes. In each event, there were 01 First prize, 01 Second prize, 01 Third prize and 05 Encouragement prizes.

Male youth running 4km: Tran Duy Khang, Tra Vinh University won first prize; Le Hoang Thuong, Tra Vinh University won second prize and Vo Tan Hai, Tra Vinh Police won third prize.

Female youth running 2km: Kim Ngoc Tien, Tra Vinh city won first prize; Nguyen Ngoc Nghi, Department of Education and Training won second prize and Nguyen Ngoc Bao Tram, Tra Vinh city won third prize.

Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented souvenir flags to the participating units.

02km male youth race: Trinh Ngoc Ky won first prize; Son Tuan Kiet won second prize and Tang Tan Sang won third prize. All 03 athletes are from Tra Vinh Department of Education and Training.

Female youth running 2km: Pham Le Hoai My, Tra Vinh Pedagogical Practice School won first prize; Thach Thi Mien Tay, Minh Tri Secondary School won second prize and Tran Diem Phuc, Tra Vinh Pedagogical Practice School won third prize.
