Today (October 9), Bien Hoa City Police, Dong Nai Province, announced that they have completed the investigation and proposed to prosecute Le Thanh Vinh (23 years old, residing in Thua Duc Commune, Cam My District) for the crime of "Using fake documents of agencies and organizations".

According to the investigation results, in April 2022, because he wanted to become a driver but did not have to take the test, Vinh went to the Saigon Driving Training Center in Xuan An Ward, Long Khanh City, to ask for a fake Class C driver's license.

After obtaining a fake driver’s license, Vinh applied to work as a driver at a transport company in Long Thanh district. Without any suspicion, the company owner hired Vinh.

At the end of 2023, while driving a truck on Highway 51, due to the brake system failing, Vinh caused a series of accidents with 4 other cars. The accident did not cause any human casualties but damaged many vehicles worth nearly 1 billion VND.

After investigation, the police determined that Vinh used a fake driver's license to apply for a job and caused the accident.
