On May 17, Thanh Khe District Police, Da Nang, are searching for those involved in a group of teenagers brutally beating someone in the center of Da Nang.
Initial information, at 12:10 on May 15, receiving a report that a group of young men were fighting and causing injuries at Thac Gian Lake, the Criminal Police Team of Thanh Khe District Police coordinated with Thac Gian Ward Police to urgently arrive at the scene.
At the scene (in front of house number 1, Tan Da street), Nguyen Ngoc Dat (16 years old, temporarily residing in Hoa Cuong Bac ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang) was seriously injured and was taken to the emergency room by the police.
Dat was diagnosed by the doctor with traumatic brain injury, brain contusion, cerebral hemorrhage, 3cm occipital wound, in a coma.

Through investigation, the police determined that at noon on May 15, Dat and his friend Nguyen Duc Hong Phong (16 years old, residing in Hai Chau district) were on their way home from school when they were chased and beaten by a group of young men on 3 motorbikes using iron pipes and glass bottles.
Dat ran across the lake in Thac Gian ward park and was caught up by this group, beaten and injured in the head, while Phong managed to run into a coffee shop on Tan Da street to hide and escaped. After beating Dat unconscious, the group of teenagers got on a motorbike and fled in the direction of Tan Da - Ham Nghi.
Urgently investigating, the police force identified Le Van Khoi (residing in Nam Duong ward, Hai Chau district), Phan Tuan Hai (residing in Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang), Tran Khanh Duy (residing in Nam Duong ward) and Pham Dinh Truong (residing in Thuan Phuoc ward, Hai Chau district) as being involved, and brought them to the headquarters for questioning.
According to initial statements, Khoi and Truong were walking on Tran Binh Trong Street when they were chased and beaten by Dat's group. Therefore, at noon on May 15, Khoi, Hai, Duy, and Truong invited four friends, Tin, Le, Hiep, and Long, to use iron pipes and glass bottles to block and beat them in revenge.
Thanh Khe District Police continue to investigate the remaining subjects and consolidate their records for handling according to the law.
