Opposite setter Bich Tuyen is the only Vietnamese female athlete to participate in the try-out round of the Korean Women's Volleyball National Championship next season. According to the announcement of the Korean Volleyball Federation, a total of 143 players have applied to participate in the V-League, including 100 male athletes from 19 countries and 43 female athletes from 10 countries.
If she passes the try-out, Bich Tuyen will go to compete in Korea. If she competes in Korea for the first year, Bich Tuyen will receive a salary of 120 thousand USD (3 billion VND). In the second year, the salary will increase to 150 thousand USD (3.8 billion VND).
Bich Tuyen is on the list of 43 female athletes registered to participate in try-out in Korea.
“This year’s Asian selection will take place online at the Mayfield Hotel on April 11 (Friday), to allow players who are busy with their club or national team to participate. The selected players will join their clubs from July 1, with contracts lasting until May 31, 2026,” the Korea Volleyball Federation said.
“The salary for rookies is $100,000 per year for men and $120,000 per year for women. For second-year players, the salary will increase to $120,000 per year for men and $150,000 per year for women,” the Korea Volleyball Federation announced.
Try-out is a selection process for foreign players of the Korean professional volleyball league (V-League), organized annually by the Korea Volleyball Association (KOVO) to select foreign players, especially within the framework of the "Asian Quota" program. This is an opportunity for athletes from the Asian region to demonstrate their talents and compete for a place in the V-League - Korea's top tournament. The try-out process is organized strictly and professionally. Athletes must submit their applications within the specified time period. Try-out usually takes place in April, before the new season starts in October.

Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, born on May 22, 2000 in Vinh Long, is an outstanding female volleyball player of Vietnam. She plays opposite for LP Bank Ninh Binh Club and the Vietnam women's volleyball team. With a height of 1m92, she is known for her strong attacking ability. Bich Tuyen has a jump range of 3.13m and a block range of 3m.
In 2024, Bich Tuyen made her mark with a series of outstanding achievements. She made a great contribution to helping the Vietnamese women's volleyball team win the AVC Challenge Cup 2024, where this spiker was honored as "Most Outstanding Athlete" (MVP). In addition, Bich Tuyen and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team also reached 3rd place at the FIVB Challenger Cup 2024. In this tournament, Bich Tuyen was the athlete with the most points with 77 points.
Bich Tuyen and LP Bank Ninh Binh Club also won the runner-up position at the Asian Club Championship 2024 as well as won a ticket to the FIVB Club World Championship 2024.
In 2024, Bich Tuyen shared her intention to go abroad while playing in the SEA V.League. Now, the striker from Vinh Long has the opportunity to play in Korea.
